remember that line weight can really bring out something to the foreground while thinner can make it recede use that to ur advantage to make ur work come out of the plain. the blanket on the character's dress can be more defined not just by color but give it the illusion that it is separate using a much heavier line. this can be applied to all crevices. the clothing folds on the breast go at a direction that is wrong to the way it is protruding.
I hope i don't sound like an ass i just wanted to share with u my limited understanding xD ><.
great facial expression though most of my characters look very hmm the words would be dead or just emotionless. XD

I don't think I could help you much when it comes to something like this, but the blinds on the window look incomplete or something...
